My Bike won two trophies
I took my 1930 Rudge Whitworth to the San Jose All British Bike meet last weekend. I'd promised to bring it over a year ago, which is why I couldn't go to the Ultimate Pelican thing in Vegas. Anyway, I just sort of washed off the dirt and cobwebs so it wouldn't be an embarassment and son-of-a-gun, I won two trophies (plaques actually). Best Roadracer and Oldest bike. There were plenty of other old roadracers that had been beautifully restored. They gave it to my bike because its unrestored and raced in the 1930 World Cup at the Isle of Man. Until the judges came by, I didn't even realize it was a judged event. Heck, if I'd known that, I'd have rubbed on it a little more.

Very cool. I'm not a huge bike guy, but that is a cool bike.

Cool Bike! What hanging off the handle bar? I looks like it is leather.

Girder...external valvetrain...it's a crying shame they don't make them like that anymore. Beautiful.

Beautiful bike, Hugh. Looks like she's still drawing a crowd, even after 76 years!
