Talking I just saw the coolest commercial...

For Heiniken. (..how do you spell that?)

Scene: Front porch, a father and "number one" sun are sitting down having a beer, waiting for "number two" son. He finally shows up...in a bondo riddled old car, wearing an old shirt...you get the picture. Number one son makes fun of number two son to father..."he's always late...mom still has your shirt"...stuff like that. Then number two son pulls out two cases of Heiniken and, subsequently, becomes number one son.

But the best part...and the relavence to this board...that bondo riddled old car is...wait for it....an early 911!!! It's diarhea brown with poorly painted out black wheels, some bondo here and there, beige original (and worn) interior...but how cool is that! Of course, those of us who know, recognize he's driving a cool car, has a "real" girlfriend (who's cute, by the way), and of course drinks the "good" beer. (..I have no idea, but I know friends who love Heinikens..)

Anybody else seen this one? Are their commercials on line anywhere?

I have seen it and was looking for it on video so I could post it. It's a great commercial. Haven't been able to find anything but old Heinkein commercials.

Seen it. Nice!

Also recently on E Ring, Tiznuski went to Spain... he was shown staking out someone in an old longhood... looked nice!

They could not have chosen a better car. The classic Jugarian symbolism behind the older, not so up to top form 911 Porsche carries a ton of weight. The car in its purest form is a tasty collage of high performance & refined tastes... and when smart ad executives combine that with the obvious need for its reconditioning (who bondos an older 911 anyway), along with the younger somewhat irresponsible yet fun-loving with a tinge of aspiring to do more young man....who's earthly charms allow him to land the hot female... which is obvious by his smooth sensibility which inherently reminds him to bring cold Heinys to his fathers house to butter the bread and hell...just because the damn things taste better than ordinary old beer. Well done. We've seen the battered old 911 Porsche used to similar effect in the movie Big Chill, but perhaps without some of the whimsical self effacing humor contained here.

Always hated Heiney. When I could drink beer, that is.

It was like imported beer for people who normally drank Milwaukee's Best...or something.

Ah, sorry. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything. I wanted to post before I forgot!

Don't ever apologize. It's all good. I just liked the screen shot in that thread and too lazy to save and repost it. Great commercial though.
