Is there a convertible in Subaru's future?

Just curious. I'd love to have one. We've owned almost as many Subarus as we've had Porsches. I think an Impreza based convertible would be just about the ideal true year 'round fun car. I sure miss my Boxster this time of year...maybe I wouldn't so much if my Subie were a convertible?!?

Anybody know of anything? Anybody know how we can persuade Subaru to start building one?

Anybody with me on this?

It would be fun as a car to drive...but the looks....I don't think they have a car that would look good topless...

Yeah, I'm having a hard time with that as well. But if Audi can do a handsome convertible four seater, so should Subaru.

Not that I'd complain if they made it into a two seater!

As an owner of an Audi S4 Cabriolet....it may have 4 seats, but only two of them have legroom.

I work for a Subaru dealer....there are NO plans for a convertible
at this time. If there was, maybe a GT sedan made into a
coupe/conv ??

How about a Turbo diesel Forester ?
They are working on that one

Now that I think about it...the Legacy GT would look good topless once they figure out a two door configuration on that chasis. I would love to have a Legacy GT....the used market is getting them down into the low 20's now...

I love my Legacy, but it's not a GT. I was afraid to drive one because I couldn't afford it at the time and was afraid I'd have to buy one.

Our dealership had one '05, still new, marked down to $23k a few weeks ago. I'm sure it's sold by now...

I agree...a Legacy could look very handsome in a convertible. Although I was thinking Impreza based for a more tossable car. It doesn't have to look like an Impreza...just act like one.

this cannot be allowed to be made. if it is, it will join quite an exclusive club of automobiles. yup.

i'm also in the market for a station wagon cgt, but if that's out of the question then i'll settle for a 996 'estate'
