Michael

Nor to be paraded around in a pot after one's death...

Racerbvd 04-05-2006 07:45 PM

Some liberal crack whores kid??

fastpat 04-05-2006 07:51 PM

I've personally seen worse in the OR.

You really don't want to know.

Racerbvd 04-05-2006 07:53 PM

Is this for real?? And Pat, are you serious?

M.D. Holloway 04-05-2006 08:08 PM

We ar truely insulated from the worst of things. Unless you are in the med field or the armed forces chances are you will never even get a chance to see someone die yet everyone does.

We wake and hear the birds singing and it can bring joy into our hearts yet those birds are at war. They are standing their ground and screaming that any bird that comes close will pay. We don't hear that - we just think it is pretty. We are collectively delusional.

Interesting perspective, partly true, but they're also doing mating calls. Love-War, Love-War

Yes, I'm quite serious. Normal child birth in America is the rule, well in the 90% range, but there are those that aren't so fortunate. Some can be laid at the feet of poor pre-natal care, and good care is available for everyone today if you want it, but some happens despite the best care available.

Most Americans don't know that infant mortality prior to about 1880 was more than 40%, congenital birth defects being a large portion of that.

Not to mention the number of women who died during childbirth in those days. :(

Jared at Pelican Parts 04-06-2006 03:34 AM

Why are they parading the fetus around in a pot?

TerryBPP 04-06-2006 03:38 AM

Kelly (my fiance) is a pediatric RN and she sees some insane deformities in infants. Kids with their spinal cord outside of their skin, guts exposed, etc.

I showed her this article last night and she said it was a extreme case of a common deformity. They see the most gruesome case in the Latin American community. Usually due to bad prenatal care due to income level.

Not sure how she gets through the day looking at that sh_t all day. Definelty not for me.

dhoward 04-06-2006 06:09 AM

...and once again, the cause is all of that depleted uranium in your back yard. I don't know why George Bush wants all of these birth defects. That bastard.

TerryBPP 04-06-2006 06:13 AM

George Bush hates normal babies!

kach22i 04-06-2006 06:22 AM

Laugh away you bastards. Birth defects are real funny.

Depleted uranium is really a misnomer, because the potentially harmful effects are by no means depleted. Research reports have found that when depleted uranium is ingested or inhaled, it can cause cancers and birth defects. It has considerable heavy-metal toxicity.
As long as it's not in your backyard and affects your kids, right?

dhoward 04-06-2006 06:27 AM

Yes.
We were laughing at birth defects.
That's it...

Unfortunately this happens all over the world. There are plenty of extremely poor nations to go around. I'm not thinking Latin Amerca has a corner on the birth defect market.
