Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...

Many of you have seen this before, but now this rocket scientist is suing because the video that your're about to see got out on the 'net. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0411061foot1.html Even better that the story made it to "thesmokinggun.com"

I'm surprised he stayed in the classroom for as long as he did. Probably a bit of mopping up to do afterwards.

			A Glock doesn't "accidentally discharge".

Who better to teach gun safety than a guy who accidentally shot himself while giving a demonstration about gun safety!? Everybody knows this guy's face, he could make a real career out of this

It's funny how those empty weapons sound just like the loaded ones when they go off. The clincher is the guy in the crowd who stands up holding a small child crossing the room. No really that assault rifle really is unloaded - just like the last weapon. The class reaction to the assault rifle should of tipped him off, then again the shooting pain in his leg should of tipped him off.

There are no AD's only ND's. I have another one sent by a cop friend, it's of a female deputy holding cover on a perp who's face down on the ground, other deputies are cuffing and securing his legs when the gun discharges. It missed everyone, but not because anyone was controlling the weapon. She was about 10 feet from the perp. These are the folks that some want to be the only ones with guns. | ||

Isn't dropping the mag and checking the chamber an integral part of gun safety? He deserves to be made the butt of jokes for bringing A LOADED WEAPON (HOLY ****!?!?!?!?!!!) into a classroom.

Not really... he didn't die. And yeah, there are no accidental discharges, only negligent discharges. I don't like Glocks very much, but one thing for sure, they don't go BANG unless you squeeze the trigger. But, he's po-fesshunul enuf to carry th' glock fow-tee.

".........thinning of the herd." Just what I was thinking Rick. I wonder if he'll sue the Darwin award guys. It's his suit against the DEA, not the video, that will ensure he never works in law enforcement again. Interesting strategy: try to keep a low profile by filing a high profile suit.

I like Glocks, the safety is "don't pull the trigger"...... You never have to worry about the safety being engaged in a panic situation and that extra second costing you your life. If you do not pull the trigger, the gun doesn't fire. I own a Glock, but like Snoop Dog says, "the only (politically incorrect term for a running partner) that I trust is me.... | ||

Too bad he didn't shoot himself in the head and none of this (lawsuit) would be going on... what a waste.
