Unhappy dinged the wife's car

I dropped a flashlight onto the hood of my wife's car. Its not a huge dent, but a dime sized ding that catches your eye. If the car were over the hill, I wouldn't care too much...but it's almost brand new. Any suggestions on getting a ding like that out of the hood? I think I'll call the dealership and see if they have one of those touch-up services like the guys that fix small dings on the lots etc... Any thoughts?

In Illinois we have Dentbusters...look up paintless dent removal. Don't sweat it...there are many companies out there that can fix it...I had a 6" crease in the quarterpanel of my Volvo and you can't even tell that it was damaged.

Call the local high-line (Mercedes, Lexus) dealers and ask who they have come by to fix dents. There are franchise guys that are terrible - you want an artisan - so be careful whom you use.

I also need to remove some dime sized small door dings in my wifes car. Can anyone explain a DIY procedure for paintless dent removal.
It appears that the kits Wayne mentions are basically hotmelt glue guns. How does this work?

I wouldn't have even thought of looking to see if there was a DIY kit for paintless dent removal. Great site. Learn something new everyday. Looks like I will be placing an order for above mentioned kit soon to remove a quarter size ding that someone was nice enough to leave me in a parking lot.

Absolutely. Our local Porsche dealer has a guy that works wonders. Makes small dents/scrapes disapear, even with metalic paint.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. The dealer has a guy on-site that specializes in this type of work. It took him about 30mins to work his magic and buff it out. Money well spent, and I didn't even have to make an appointment
