I got lucky this year. Well sort of. I was able to write off a big chunk of the 993 accident deductible ($6750) and two other casualty losses. So I didn't pay much in taxes. They'll get me next year though. My uncle got audited a few yrs. ago and the IRS goons actually walked him back to his car to check his odemeter, as he had written off a lot of mileage.
