Absolutely amazing! You have done an idiotic thing. You made a bet and lost. You then sent a check and stopped payment without contacting Joe.

THAT'S DISHONORABLE INTENT, YOU BOOB!!! DId you trip and fall into the bank to perform the dishonorable act! Lemme guess, "It's not my fault, I had a thing to go to and needed blah, blah, blah!!"

Man up. Oh wait, nevermind.

I know Joe very well and also know that if you were short of funds or some other reason that required the "stopped check", a simple email would have been a LOT better than what you did. Joe may have ribbed you about being slow to pay, but that would have been wwaaaaayyyy better than just *****-canning your word.

By-the-damn-way, where's my damn shirt?

did anyone see the post titled "y'all need to get laid more" - check it out.

Holy ca-ca, get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the man said he would make it right - why don't you at least give 24 hours to do it??????????????????

Meanwhile, back in reality...

Pedro Martinez - the best Latin pitcher ever? ...me thinks so.

Oh and by the way, hasn't everyone on this board made a mistake they wish they could take back???????????

Ridiculous.

The same man who "made it right" the first time?

Ty - the whole thing is a ***** storm. There is a bunch of behind the scenes ***** going on as well. This whole thing could be the dumbest experience since the 7th grade.

TyFenn 04-17-2006 08:42 PM

I just feel bad seeing a bunch of people gang up on someone - deserved or not. Truthfully, right or wrong, I hang with the Boston crew through thick and thin so, in a way I'm sticking up for anyone from Beantown - always will.

But Mike, as usual, you're right.

Good Luck to everyone involved - I hope no one gets hurt.

"Can't we all just get along":D
Damage has been done. I can't wait for the pay off and we be done with this. It does get old after awhile.

Ty,
What you wrote just sounds strange. If one of my friends did what Shaun did, I would read him the riot act! Hell, even if it were my BEST friend, I would kick him in the ass! I'm not giving him a pass on this. He thought this through and said "eff it, I'm gonna screw him". So I don't care if he's from Beantown, downtown or my hometown, its wrong to do that.

He apologized then continued to defend his actions and/or attack others. Some apology. He has some growing up to do.

TyFenn 04-17-2006 09:14 PM

My point is that if I saw a bunch of people ganging up on someone from my town, I'd be right there swingin' - regardless.

That being said, I would like to kindly remove myself from all of this - Good Luck.

so when this blows over what do you guys want to do then?

Hugh R 04-17-2006 09:16 PM

In the entire world... all you have is your good name. If you choose to ruin it, its your own fault. End of story. I couldn't survive in business or life without my reputation, and if its not good, I'm dogmeat. 32 pages about my reputation,(Shaun) plus all the other threads, I'd never let it happen. You don't make a bet that your going to welch on. I travel alot and meet a lot of great Pelicans. I would never say anything on this board that I wouldn't say to someone's face. Apparently, there are unfortunately a lot of people on this board who aren't concerned about sometime meeting their "nemisis" in person. I'd like to think that I'm a little more global in my thinking.

You make a bet. You lose the bet. You pay up, right? Shouldn't it be that simple?

You mean that when you are trying to run a public company (G9 girls clothing in this case) and make that company prosper that its not a good idea to do something silly like make a bet, then lose and stiff the person you bet with, all in the public eye? Especially when you know that the person is not the type who will take something like this lying down and will probably post something on an open public forum when it happens?

I just did a Google search of "G9 girl" and the first and second post on the second page was the "Pelican parts BBS board" and several posts by our very own Shaun ----, who we believe is the co-founder of G9 Girl.

All it would take is for an investor or potental investor to do a search on Pelican for "G9 Girl" and most prudent people would run, run fast and far away from this train wreck and anything associated with Mr. ----, but thats only my IMHO. I told him this same thing months ago and he wisely removed the "G9 Girl" label from his user profile, and substituting an image of a red devil for some reason. What good this did is a good question...

Talk about crapping in your mess kit, this has been the worst one I have ever seen and he is still at it. I gave him the chance to end it now and he persists on wanting to send another check or money order through the post, over doing Pay Pal, which would end this whole chirade in an hour.

Ty, if you are the type of person who jumps right in to help any and all of your friends from Boston, thats very honorable in some ways. One silly question... what if that friend is wrong? What if that friend of yours had molested a child and everyone was going after them? What if they had killed a child? Where does common sense kick in and make a person realize that just because they are from Boston that does not make what they are doing correct?

Someone has gotten hurt. G9 has taken a hit that he may never recover from, especially on this forum and in the Porsche world. I have taken a financial hit and now have a black mark on my financial record. Whats my crime in this situation? I trusted him and now have been burned for it. I hope that he never owes you money but if he does, a slight hint. Do not take a check...

Let's hope Shaun's lady doesn't do the google search.
Ladies rarely understand honour, bets and having the family business globally dragged through the mud on the internet.

This one could beat some of Nostatic and Motion's adventures, never mind the Grid girls!

Probably not an issue.

Rodeo 04-18-2006 04:32 AM

Joe, I see that Nostatic edited your post above. That means that what you posted was even more mean-spirited than it is now. It's hard to imagine a more ungracious winner, or a bigger whiner ... a "black mark" on your financial record because you deposited a NSF check? Gimme a break.

I finally figured it out. You're Eric Cartman. Without the humor.

Stop gloating and whining. You won. You slammed Shaun, managed to slander me in the process, and made your stupid political point about liberals. Now wait for your money and STFU.
