Go to several liquor stores. Get their used boxes. Entertaining while packing but priceless when you unpack. Your new neighbors will be wondering...

Thats really cool of you to do that for your mom. I guess that why your the cool chick.

How old is your mom? I wonder how much longer before we have to do this for one of or both of my parents.

Good luck with the move. BTW- Pizza and Beer. It does wonders to entice friends over to help.

Know the feeling all too well. Been in 3 different houses in the past 15 yrs. You never realize how much more stuff you end up accumulating each time. My next move( hopefully not for many , many yrs), I'm leaving everything and starting from scratch.!!

I know about moving. 4 times in 10 years. And judging from my other post I am about to move again. Possibly, like you, to camp out at my mothers. At least until everything get sorted.

I do not intend to move again for 40-50 years which will be to a nursing home or a graveyard! At least as a woman, you probably don't have a shop full of prized possesions (or junk as my wife likes to call it) to move also. Moving was so much easier in the college days, we used to just lay a tarp on the kitchen floor and unload the fridge, the dirty dishes and all of the plastic spring break beer mugs into it, then drag the whole mess out to the dumpster!

Have fun!

too bad i'm not closer to help with the move. when i was a pilot i moved a bunch..to like 6 different states..and no telling how often i'm asked to help somebody move..be nice to help a cute gal instead of my lazy friends for a change. oh, this thread is useless without me posting another unnecessary photo of the 'mover' himself. i always take loads of **** for posting my pics..but what the hell, with 'THE thread' closed for 24 hours (counting down, yes), perhaps i can at least catch some flack here.

a guy i've been training for a bodybuilding contest..we were taking shots of his back, looking for flaws to bring up to speed. i never did bodybuilding myself, but do train others for those type of contests (mr. arkansas). i did powerlifting and 'push/pull' contests. he just took a cpl shots of me and some other friends for the hell of it. i actually qualify for the senior division (over 40) and may compete in it next year for the hell of it if i'm willing to diet down to 7% bodyfat. that's a big 'if'.

#1 - have a small dumpster delivered.

#2 - get a number of big boxes and mark "good will".

#3 - be insensitive to what you have accumulated in life so far...\

Your move will be 70% easier now. Good luck with Mom.

I hate moving too. I haven't lived in the same place for more than a year in almost 9 years. Moved accross the country twice, needless to say I am sick of it. It gotten so rediculous that I stop and pick up, "good boxes" that people leave for the trash man cause I know I'll be using them soon enough.

Good luck with having your Mom move in with you, and with the packing.
Rich
