Picked up a Steyr M40.
 
I took it in partial trade for the Baja. The gun is amazing. I used to own this same gun and got it back in trade for the Baja. It has a bunch of cool features. Check out the website:

I got seven magazines with it too. Four of them still in the original packaging!

Nice. I checked out a buddy's M9 this weekend. I kinda like the feel. The slide is a bit 'wide' for being a 9mm pistol, but IIRC, the pistol was originally designed around the .40, not the 9mm.

The jury is out for me as far as a polymer frame gun. I did hit a couple Academy stores this weekend... one had the S&W M&P, and one had a Taurus 24/7. I might see if I can go finger f*ck them sometime.

However, I'm thinking my next pistol will either be a Hahr PM9 or a CZ97B.

If I were you, I would pick up a couple "off the DOJ list" handguns and bring them with your to CA. Then sell them. Remember, keep the capacity of the mags 10 and under.
