HOOT! I just sent in dues for the 39th time. Hey, I got the membership cards and a decal....Maybe I'll have to pay 'em one more year so I can get a citation? Wait a minute here! "Citation"...isn't that what the cop call that little piece of yellow paper he gives you???? Hey, I've had enough "citations"
in my lifetime... |
I think one's perception of the PCA depends on what region you are in. My little region (North Country Region) is great. Going to DE events is like going with a big extended family.
Even if my region wasn't the nicest/friendliest region in the world (which we are BTW) belonging to PCA makes me eligible for well run DE events that cost me roughly half as much as those put on by other clubs like BMW or Audi. -Chris PCA member since 1991 |
Chris,
I think you are right, my PCA Region is quick to dismiss older cars like mine and if you didnt show up to the golf outing, they you are not "cool enough" and most memebers dont take the time you talk to you about anything. I absolutely apprciate the sponsered track days though. |
I paid their stupid dues for 27 years. Used to belong to a region (GGR) that was great. Couldn't find a region I could stomach here in So Cal. Too much of an 'old boys' club.

How the HELL IS THIS OFF TOPIC??????
|
I first joined at 21 and was a member for years CIR (Indiana). The only complaint I have is that theres really no track time. They have a spring driving school and the ohio region sponsors a club race but thats all. The rest of the year is pretty much meetings at the pub. Im 28 now and im still too young really to connect with most of the guys there. I have no ill feelings toward the CIR they just dont do much.

Never felt the need for some club, dont need to be needed...all they need is your $$ , they are still waiting for mine. lol
