I didn't post anything to validate what Mul said, even though I agree with him 98% of the time and 100% on this issue. I did it to counter the bogus arguments put forth by the knee-jerk Bush-haters who refuse to believe anything other than "it's Bush's fault" always, all the time. Wilson gives (and actually gave) Schumer a run for his money when it comes to self-promotion, but Schumer is more honest.

I knew your reference starting on page 443 of the report only indicated the Republican views, not the actual Committee findings. The Dems expressed their views as well, but in the in end, they are opinions. Roberts, et al, either expressed their genuine beliefs, or wanted to give the President political cover. I concede that it's probably 50/50, though that's only because I'm a bit cynical about everyone here in DC. :D

I don't think they were giving Bush cover at all. Wilson was all over the place. The guy is just not credible. It is what it is and the fact that calling Wilson a liar might somehow benefit Bush is just co-incidental.
