Went to DC last week. Took pics.

So I went to Washington DC last week to visit a friend who got married and got stationed at Bolling AFB (his wife did). His birthday was Wednesday, so we got to celebrate a little. Got there later on Tuesday, and got back Monday night.

Wednesday, I was solo, so I went down to the National Mall after walking through the National Archives. Walked all the way down to the Lincoln Memorial, and shot a ton of pics, mostly at the WWII Monument that day.

Thursday, Rob was off work, so we hopped in his pimpin cool ride (his wife's Neon) and headed down to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum annex, and probably spent 3 or 4 hours there (also caught an Imax show). Shot a ton of pics there.

Friday, we went to Fairfax and checked out the NRA's National Firearms Museum (the words of Neo rang in my head that day: "Guns. Lots of guns"). Shot a ton of pics.

From there, we got on the metro and went to the National Archives, since Rob hadn't seen it yet.

Saturday, we got a slow start, and had a personalized, albeit short, tour of the capitol with a CPD officer that gets on another forum I frequent. Got to see a few things that tourists don't get to. It was pimpin cool. Shot a few pictures there. Then we caught a trolley tour and saw more stuff, stopping off at the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, then walked through the Lincoln and Vietnam Memorial.

Sunday, we got a late start again... and spent most of the afternoon at the main location of the Air & Space Museum. Snot a ton of pics.

So I have pics hosted online... about 1100+ in all! Check 'em out:

Around the Mall, WWII Monument, Capitol, and others

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

NRA Firearm Museum

Arlington National Cemetary

Did you see Rick Lee's blue 993 in the parking lot?

Steve, I think I did notice a 993 in the parking lot. Crap, if I'd have known a PPBBS member worked there, I'd have dropped him a line, seen if he could have given me a little tour around the building.

He doesn't work there....he's an active member.
