Eagles' Nest
A link to a live feed from a bald eagle’s nest. This feat was accomplished by a retired fellow on Hornby Island (British Columbia, I believe) who climbs old fir trees where bald eagles have been returning to nest for decades (eagles mate for life). The previous camera chronicled the sad story of two eagles who lost their hatchlings. They’d been returning to the same tree for 17 years.

fwiw - the old guy did not place the camera, this was accomplished by a fellow named Jed (from Hornby Island).
On a related note - 18 people here have been recently charged with dealing in eagle parts - killing the animals - for use in native ceremonies. |

We've got 2 hatchlings at our teaching zoo... our 2 adults are messed up - one blind, one missing a wing. Hatchlings are doing great, will be sent out soon
