Who do you want to be our next president?

Never too early to start thinking about it.

Who do you want?

I'm ready to try a female, just not sure Condi or Hillary are the right choices.

If anyone says "Jeb Bush" they are gonna personally get their arse kicked by me

Maybe McCain, or possibly a Dem if their platform moves towards the middle. I'm still very undecided. I'm also tired of hot-button issues in national politics. Long term economic strength and balanced budgets. Stop the export of good jobs. Secure our borders and resolve the illegal alien issue. And no way would I support another neo-con war-monger like B2 and his cadre.

Fuch no! Besides, he doesn't qualify under our constitution. Thank God!

Hopefully someone who isn't on the current list of hopefuls.

I don't think Condi is ready for primetime; maybe a VP though.

I think (and hope) Hillary is just a pipedream; sounds go on paper as an anti-Bush to the left, but Bush isn't running and Hil'd get eaten up in the primaries.

McCain's too wishy-washy for the masses.

I think Lieberman's up to the job, but he's too soft-spoken and a Jew, he won't get elected.

Jeb Bush isn't GW, I think he'd do well as prez, but I doubt he'll run.

I think Riley here in AL would do the job well, but I doubt he's going to run.

Come on, Pat, isn't there a hot candidate from the Libertarian party that you'd support?

Not particularly. Harry Brown, the perennial candidate died earlier this year; and Ron Paul is in congress now and I'd hate to see him quit since he's doing a fabulous job. L. Neil Smith, Vin Suprynowicz, Lew Rockwell of course, Jim Bovard and many others could do it but won't run.

We really don't need a "glorious leader", what the presidency has become; we need a Martin Van Buren with the guts to tear down presidential power.

Do you think anyone who runs from either of the two largest parties is going to do that?

Ron Paul of Texas

I don't agree with all of his opinions, but he is zealous about cutting spending, reducing the size of government, and is an outspoken critic of inflationary Federal Reserve actions. He also favors securing our borders and not granting amnesty to illegals.

Combine that fact with the dangerously expanded executive branch; not just under the current little commisar, but from all the 20th century presidents; and you get a pretty dismal picture.

And why I made my first statement; lets leave it empty.

To shwo that they care about the middle class they merely need to get government out of the middle class's face, the middle class will then take care of themselves.

Rolling the federal government back to it's 1830 presence would handle the latter.
