Anybody know this car?

I've seen this car posted at Rennlist, PCA, and now eBay. Anybody here know this car, or have any thoughts?

TIA,
Dan

Saw that. He's listed it several times. The price seems OK, so there are probably hidden issues that are keeping people from closing the deal.

I bet if he put stock wheels and decklid on it, it would sell faster.

I drove up to look at it today. It looks like a well-kept car in clean condition. There were two warning flags:

1 - A/C no workie-workie. Hasn't worked since last fall, despite replacing the compressor in September. He noted that this was covered by warranty, and that he just hadn't gotten around to it yet. What else hasn't he gotten around to? Isn't it hot around here?

2 - He had "driven it out to lunch," which explained why the engine was still ticking-hot at 3pm when I came to look at it. Maybe that's normal, maybe it was innocent, or maybe he's covering something. The auction closes tomorrow morning, which doesn't give me enough time for a PPI to allay my fears.

Maybe I'm excessively suspicious. Maybe I should jump on this one. I mean, he had a whole stack of receipts, looked like all the work that had been done on the car since he had bought it (2 years ago), and it was really clean -- good paint, good interior, just a few nicks off new. Somehow, I can't bring myself to override the 6th sense, though. Any thoughts?

Dan
