I see the mullet is making a comeback...

vash 05-12-2006 12:18 PM

time to get sally fields out of mothballs.

Of course, the Mustang is selling well, so GM will jump on the bandwagon and sell a few of their cars.... Better do it quick as the "retro movement" is rapidly running out of steam.

not bad. Lose the thunder chicken though

rouxroux 05-12-2006 12:49 PM

Needs a CB antenna.

Right on the center of the T-roof.

Oh Haha 05-12-2006 12:54 PM

Man, I gotta dig out my bellbottoms!!!

The rumor in the "industry" is that an F-body is coming back but nobody seems to know if it will be a Camaro or a Firebird.

dd74 05-12-2006 01:11 PM

I like it. But I realized I also liked the retro Camaro as well. And the more Mustangs I see, the more I like them.

The best part is, hopefully, the T/A will keep more Americans working.

PS: please keep the screaming chicken.

Enough of this "retro" crap already!!
The American muscle car died in the 70's. Let them rest in peace.

I'm afraid retro is here for a long time. It actually started with the Miata, and look how many of those cars Mazda has sold.

Who wouldn't want a slice of that pie?

ianc 05-12-2006 02:12 PM

Car looks OK, and there is no sign of the 'retro movement' doing anything but gathering steam.

The screaming chicken didn't look good back in the day, and it doesn't look good now,

ianc

I saw one today when I checked my office mail http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/puke.gif

Unfortunately, it never fully died in the south:(

Am I seriously the only one here who loves the F body concepts and would buy one the second they came out?! I think its awesome that they actually have some curves and personality... not to mention mimic my favorite body style the car ever had! I mean seriously, what looks better... that or any of the TAs that have been made in the last 20+ yrs?!

And no I do not have a mullet and the damn graphic can definitely disappear.

yellowline 05-12-2006 03:09 PM

You heard it here first: Lose the screaming chicken and this mulletless, accentless 18-year old will sell the German car when it's time for a brand new car. Make mine black with hidden headlights.

Damn, someone beat me to it.

If they build it, the history books will refer to it as one of the final nails in GMs coffin.

How about building a decent family mid size that isn't 10 years behind the Japanese, and quite dicking around with low volume specialty cars? DUH!

I found a quote from a Toyota spokesman:

Quote:

"The Avalon is the most complex vehicle Toyota Division sells, so just by definition it's a problematic vehicle," Hanson said.
Wonderful attitude to have when your flagship has, among other things, steering linkage problems. They already sound like the GM of the '70s and '80s. Pure arrogance and complacency.

I'll be sure to buy a GM if Toyota gets the #1 spot.
