wow...thank you so much for the gift of the wonderful sheet music for piano! this is an incredible collection of music..i've got an awful lot of work ahead of me going through the great volume. music from the late 19th century through the early 40's..just an incredible piece of musical history..i am humbled that you thought of me and so grateful to you for gifting them to me. some of it are old magazines from the 20's, filled with music, but with fascinating articles and advertisements of the times. i'm thrilled to begin the addition of some of these old, forgotten tunes to my repertoire of music that i play at retirement centers. what a thrill it will be for someone very old to perhaps recognize tunes that i'm not familiar with..i'll just have to play through them and find the ones i'll like for entertainment purposes. about the equivalent of someone walking into a retirement center in 100 years and playing 'purple rain' or 'light my fire'..you get the idea! :D

paul, thank you so much again for your generosity..i hope to report to you soon how some of the tunes turn out..i'm looking forward to getting time to going through them all. :) :) :)

Ryan, I'm just happy the music is finally in the hands of someone who can read it, enjoy it, and most importantly USE it to provide enjoyment to others. Loved your image of future retirement home music. Yep, it won't be long before those halls will be echoing with the tunes of Chuck Berry, Elvis, Jerry Lee. Then on to the Stones, the Beatles, The Who, The Doors, etc. Ever since man first beat a rhythm on a hollow log with a stick...the style may change, but the beat goes on. :) ENJOY! Paul (edit) You know, I have the feeling my mom is smiling down at me right now...she'd love knowing her old stuff is being enjoyed, years after she passed away.
