97/98 Porsche models?
I'm looking to import a 99 boxster from the US into Canada, and in checking over the various government regulations, I had to check the admissibility list. The list indicates something a little strange:
ALL 1991 TO 1996 MODELS 1997 & 1998 BOXSTER ALL 1997 & 1998 911 MODELS ALL 1999 TO 2006 MODELS ALL OTHER 1997 & 1998 MODELS ARE INADMISSIBLE This would seem to indicate that there was another Porsche model built in the 1997/98. The 928, 944 and 968 were all done their production runs by then, so what else could there be?

The GT1 would count as a 911 model. I guess they could be referring to the 962, but generally it only deals with standard street cars - it doesn't have any restrictions for other marques that also build race cars (F1, etc.)

I guess what I was getting at was the the 911 and Boxster were the only "street" 911 models made in 97/98, unless there were some Europe-only street models of the race cars.

Exactly - that's what I'm curious about. Maybe some ultra-rare model that I've never heard of!

Yep, it does. We already brought one into Canada under the same restrictions.
