Okay, I get it. He spun at a high rate of speed and launched off the track backwards. Weird. He spun backwards and launched perfectly, in such a way that the car had very little rotation and kept upright?

I saw that during the race coverage, they showed a clip from the practice session. Absolutely incredible that car did not flip once it hit the gravel trap.

Won't do any good, he's already used up his next couple months of luck. If he was a cat that would be -3 or -4.

The Aston went in Longitudely and thats why it didn't flip. If it had gone in sideways it would have...bet the guy just put it in 1st and off he went....It just goes to prove to yah that U don't need wings to fly...

didn't mercedez break that one long ago ? with that GT car that went off @ Le Mans and flew like what looked to me 150 feet+ to land in the woods? causing them to retire in fear of another bad event like waaaaay back in the days when a merc landed in the stands at start/finish?

It didn't fly...it fell, with style.

In fact, the lack of lift kept the car upright...

That MB had the assistance of an Austin Healey that it ramped off of! Scary stuff!
