Jeffersons race bating

Rep. Jackson received $100,000 or more, cold cash, bribe. He is a Democrat. Poor dumb , black guy. Poor dumb Democrat. You won't hear to much about this from the left wing press. Maybe a casual past mention of it. Corruption at its best, the Democratic way.

The holier than thou democrats will not bring this up, no way. They will revert to the Frist, investigation. No evidence of wrongdoing, just innuendo. The horror of it all.

I thought this was going to be about George and Weezie

914GT 05-22-2006 08:38 PM

I think Jefferson is the same poor representative who had the National Guard take him to his mansion near N.O., so he could retrieve his personal belongings after Katrina.

Edit: here it is

Mulhollanddose 05-22-2006 09:00 PM

Culture of corruption...Jefferson makes Delay look like a saint.

dd74 05-22-2006 09:26 PM

Good Times was a better show IMHO.

Hyperbole? ;)

Jefferson has been nailed six ways from Sunday by the FBI. Watch him wriggle...it'll be quite entertaining. :p Send him to jail. Let him sit for a long, long time. SmileWavy

BTW, this is the schmuck that got a helicopter ride from the USCG (I think) during Katrina so that he could evacuate some of his personal things from his New Orleans home. Probably another stash of ill-gotten cash. Never mind that others were dying from the rising flood waters. He used his office to put himself first and screw the rest!

Sorry to say he was on CNN yesterday afternoon - cool as a cucumber. Said as it is an "on going" investigation he cannot say a thing. And he did not.

Flatbutt1 05-23-2006 05:53 AM

whats the problem? you guys never heard of cold, hard cash?
maybe he should have run for Mayor of NO

Facts are wrong:
1) He received a ride in a convoy of Nat'l Guard trucks.
2) He took personal items from his house, including two laptops; conceivably for his kids.

72doug2,2S 05-23-2006 07:43 AM

Bush lied and that's why Jefferson's in trouble. What's Happening? Dy-no-mite

Gee. You make it sound like he was just looking forlorn on the side of the road and the National Guard happened by and saw his plight, so picked him up and helped the po' black man out...NO...He commissioned the National Guard to become his moving company, in the middle of a massive disaster that the media was busy blaming Bush for.

Wow, dd..."conceivably for his kids"...You really are easy.

Jim Richards 05-23-2006 08:23 AM

dd, I may have it wrong. :) I'll either check my facts or go silent on Jefferson for now. I think he's in deep trouble, and he looked a lot more solemn on CNN than when I saw him on the boob-tube post-Katrina.

Nathans_Dad 05-23-2006 08:27 AM

He commissioned the National Guard to drive him to his house to get two freaking LAPTOPS?!??!

Wonder how much government money it costs to put together a National Guard Convoy to retrieve his friggin $800 laptops....

Jim Richards 05-23-2006 08:28 AM

dd, we were both right. Check out the ABC News article on this:

http://www.abcnews.go.com/US/HurricaneKatrina/story?id=1123495&page=1

After the NG truck became stuck, a USCG helicopter was summoned. They wasted time while Jefferson declined to board the helicopter (twice). I'm just speculating, but I think he didn't want to be separated from the stuff he rescued from his house. Hmmmm. ;)

Dantilla 05-23-2006 08:31 AM

He ought to be thrown out of office, immediately. Along with ANY office holder, Republican or Democrat, who abuses the public's trust.

I am saddened to learn of any political corruption, both lefties and righties.

Rot 911 05-23-2006 08:46 AM

If he doesn't go to prison the people of NO will re-elect him. They just love their criminal politicians.

snowman 05-23-2006 09:04 AM

Wrong. The people of NO will re-elect him even if he is in jail.

What makes me think there was slightly more than a couple of laptops for his kids?...I guess I am a little suspicious given he is a Democrat caught with 90 large in his fridge.

Surely your above analysis is exactly right. It was more than a couple laptops. The helicopters would have taken him to safety, which is where he and many of the idiots in New Orleans refused to be.

Nathans_Dad 05-23-2006 09:17 AM

I've got the new slogan!!

"Bush lied so my laptops fried..."

What do ya think?

Jim Richards 05-23-2006 09:21 AM

don't quit your day job. ;)

Mul, did I say anywhere that what he did was correct?

Sigh! It's getting boring pointing out to others on this forum how easy it is to pick you apart, show you're full of crap, and that you do not research facts, and LASTLY, that you either read poorly into others' points of view, whether they contradict yours, your party's or the Lord above.

I may be easy. You, however, are effortless. You are a poor example of everything that in life seeks to take the high road.

How on Earth you take yourself seriously is beyond conscionable thought.

You should ask yourself before you post such things as the above: "How might dd74 completely dismantle my character and embarrass me on the OT Forum - once again?"

Which I can do.

But you're terribly boring these days, so why should I put in the effort?
