Fuel Prices
Just filled my car with 70 litres (18.5 gallons) of regular fuel.
currency Ltr per/unit = Total to fill tank from empty in HK$ 70 x 13.48 = 943.60 HK$ in US$ 70 x 1.72 = 120.90 US$ in UKst 70 x 0.91 = 63.70 UKSterling I'll get around 300 kms from the tank so HK$ 3.00 per km or USA 38 cents, 20 HKpence per km Curious to know : How much is fuel where you live in the USA< Scandinavia< UK ? Cheers Rich ![]()

True, but an imperial gallon is a little larger than a US gallon.
Also, I think something is wrong if you're only getting 300 Km per tankful. I get 350-400 miles from a tankful with my '87... ianc

In BC (Canada) $1.25/L for 91 octane, works out to $1.12 US/L, or roughly $4.40 US per US (4L) gallon. So 70 L here would be about $78 US. A deal compared to Hong Kong prices.
Aahhh, the wide open roads of downtown HK in the spring. Can you get out of 1st gear?

Hopefully you are making up for the high gas prices with the abundance of beautiful ladies to be found there.
Nonetheless, I would still say that 300 Km = 195 mi. is way less than you should be seeing on a tankful of gas, no matter how hilly or how much traffic. ianc

About $3.50-3.60 a gallon here in and around Los Angeles.
Rat, I can't never get tire of looking out onto Central and the bay from the Victoria Peak. Must be a fun drive up there in the 911. By the Way, Do you know if that little, well maybe not so little, restaurant next to the tram station / mall still there? Jeff |

$3.03 for regular in the Volvo (740 16v). When the Porsche is down, there is definitely a substitute.

Usually cost me over $100 to fuel up my pickup (diesel). That hurts. Diesel is around $3.50 & gasoline is more than that in the S.D. area. We're so lucky because we almost always enjoy the highest prices in the country. I'd really feel bad if I had to pay the prices some of you guys in Europe & the orient do.

My truck is a regular cab w/ the 38 gallon tank so to fill it from empty would be ~$130 @ 3.50 diesel. It would have been $50.00 when the truck was new in 1999.
The fact that I can make fuel in my garage is a consolation, though.
