Just picked one of these up. Got a new 2006 for just around 16.5K. Wanted the turbo, but could not justify the additional expense. Even so, with 173HP, a decent suspension, and a familiar flat-4 motor, it is a pretty fun and agile car. Plus has AWD driving in 50/50 F/R mode all the time. Plus the 4-door/hatchback design is sporty and looks nice.
Just thought I'd do a post in case anyone is looking for a nice, affordable and fun car. The car is still built in Japan and quality is really good and stylish.

Sounds like a solid choice.

I have an '05. I concur on all points. I think the '06 has about 5 extra hp and some mildly different styling, but other than that same solid platform.
