Road Trip!!
My flight leaves in a couple hours but figured it wouldn't be too late to make plans. I'm headed towards Henderson Tenn. for a couple days then off to Shepard, Texas.
Anybody care to meet up and drain a couple beers give me a shout. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check in on the BBS but post a number or something where we can talk. See y'all there. ![]()

Will be taking a road trip myself here in a few weeks. I am going to a class up in Linthicum MD for a week and the company is going to pay me $.44 a mile to take the P-Car. They offered me a rental car, but after my last experience No wonder Ford has to lay off 30K people
I will take my car. |

Nashville Rocks!
Where are you at? near Vandy? Downtown? near the Aeropuerto? This is your mission: Go to Bosco's and get a Flaming Stone beer, no matter what. Find the New Orleans themed bar called the Broadway Brewhouse at Broadway and 19th behind the Courtyard Marriot and have a Dos Peros. The Yazzo stuff is awesome. Try The Flying Saucer if you are downtown near Union Station. There's a really good Korean resturant on the opposite end downtown off of 21st, but Id have to look at a map to find it. Let me know if you like Korean food and I'll figure out exactly where its at and get you directions If you are not planning to be there on Wednesday night, then change your plans or miss your flight. Go to 3rd and Lindsley that night to listen to the Wooten Brothers play music. Try to hit the Yazoo brewery if you are there Thursday night or thru the weekend. This is not an option: You must have Hot Chicken before you leave. There is nothing like Hot Chicken anywhere. Go to Lorrie Morgan's Hot Chicken if its been re-opened. If not, go to Prince's Hot Chicken shack after Monday. Prince's is in the ghettto, but its the original. Its not as good as Lorrie Morgan's, IMHO, but its worth it if her place hasn't been reopened yet. Just leave you're watch in the hotel and only carry cash if you have to go there. Checked with our local host and plans are being made. We've done BBKings already and Coyote Ugly and several places on Broadway. This place is Great. Thanks for the ideas. We're off to Memphis for a day or two and will be back Wed.
I'll keep you informed

I lived in Memphis for 18 months (I actually commuted from Maryland each week, but that's another story).
You've probably got most of the easy sights to see down: Graceland (just drive by!), Beale Street, the Sunset Parade, Sun Records, etc. I can recommend the MLK Museum (at the Lorraine Motel). Very well done. There is also a St. Louis Cardinals minor league team in Memphis...unbelieveable stadium right in downtown should you be so inclined. Very inexpensive if they are in town. Mud Island is worth the trip.
