Take a Kid Duck Hunting
Gotta admire the pluck of this little shaver. 12 gauge recoil doesn't seem to phase him in the least.

Give the kid a .410 or 28 gauge and teach him how to shoot right would be the better thing to do. I grew up with a .410 in my hand and still miss that old gun.
Given the guts the kid has he should do well. |
Video kind of pissed me off.
Its not safe, and its unfair to the kid. Kid will develop a recoil aversion that will make him a poor shot. Its tough to overcome. I know because my dad did the same damn thing to me. But hey, kid seems to be having fun. And any dad that takes his kid out hunting these days it all right with me. |
I say it comes down to the kids attitude - obviously positive here. "He got me too!"

Nice...I wish I had sound on this crappy RS box.

There is sooo much wrong with that video.
One of the reasons that I agreed with Harddrive was that the kid was completely knocked over and (of course) dropped the firearm. This alone should have been a clue to the "responsible" adult that the shotgun was a poor match to the kids size and capability. Only Dick Cheney could make a bird hunt less safe than this. :D |
Love the way he says "shot him right in the...neck" and you see his lips about to say butt...
But indeed it is not a good idea with such a large gun. |
