Anniversary of D-Day
Alot of folks are worked up over today being 6/6/06, but I still remember it as D-Day. Also the same day my mother died in 2000. Usually makes me pause to give thanks for both my mom and the brave men who changed the course of the war.

Ditto. Many died on that day on both sides of the line, most believing in their cause. War is never clean, never without tragic results.
To the brave Allies who gave their all to eliminate a threat to humanity.

A big thanks..."Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few" Churchill about the Battle of Britain, but true of the whole war.
