Another dating rant, why do GF's alway want to meet someplace imposable?
 

Okay, I'm willing to rub elbows with the beautiful people and go window shopping because I know ladies dig that kind of stuff.
So she emails me why don't we meet tomorrow noon at 2nd street in Long Beach (Belmont Shore). To those who don't know 2nd street is a hip beach neighborhood that gets extremely crowded and has very little parking... especially on a Sunday afternoon.

She is a professional business woman so I know she can be logical when it is required... but when it comes to social planing she is completely off the map.

So I just got off the phone with her and suggested we meet down by the Marina (a few blocks away with a GIANT parking lot) where we met before.
"Well I you know I don't eat seafood so that won't work for me".
" I know, we could just meet there then move on to one of the other restaurants in the area".
"Well, let me go online and check out the restaurants in the area and I will call you back".

Sorry, just needed to vent.

That's a bad omen. She's thinking you're thinking that she isn't worth the effort to get a parking space, and you're thinking she is being difficult. She's thinking you're gonna trap her into a seafood place, and she already has been meeting too many losers at that part of the marina, and that the wait staff is already recognizing her as the witch with the blind dates.

Her name isn't Sharon is it?

High maintainance while dating? Stupid girl. Stupid, single girl.

If you do not get a very nice (and long) back (and front) rub tonight then its time to start looking for a new squeeze. I would put up with that crap when I was younger but do not need it now. There are enough girls around who do not play games to continue to put up with this sort of BS. Let her do her own floor or call next time...

In my opinion, you weren't firm enough in your wording. This is of course, very delicate.

You say, "Great idea (for a place to go) but I have to park here (in the big parking lat) if we're going to go there."

That's a method of supporting her decision of a place to go, but putting you're requirements as a condition she must meet.

Works most of the time.

She emailed me a couple of choices... one of them was at the marina so I jumped on it. I played the waiting game and got a win-win.

My point being she hates crowds, hates traffic, then wants to meet in one of the busiest parts of town.

Funny thing is Belmont shore is rumored to have a large gay population... funnier yet is that it being an affluent beach town on the weekends there is no shortage of hotties walking up and down the street in bikini's.

Agreed but only if you continue to let them do it.

Put down the guidelines and do it early, that way everyone knows their limits. I stopped thinking with my lower head years ago and life has gotten a lot easier since.

Rather than doing her floor, I would have offered to do her on the floor, take it or leave it...:)
