The Ultimate Song Game Thread

Here is how to play:
Guess the band and the song of the snippett of lyrics posted. To post your answer, reply to the post and put the name of the band and the name of the song. The original poster of the lyrics will then verify if your answer is correct, and if so, post your own snippett of lyrics. You may only post one hint to go along with the song. The hint may be anything as long as it doesn't give too much of the song away. I'll start off:

Lyrics:
"I never meant to be so bad to you
One thing I said that I would never do..."

Hint: In the film "40 Year old Virgin".

Can anyone guess the band and song title? P.S. NO cheating!!

Asia - Heat of the Moment.

Here's one (doubt anyone will get this without looking it up)

"I could be dead at 33 like Belushi, drain myself away like Hancock in Sydney..."

"I'm a man of wealth and taste."

Heres another:

"Only the guys in NYC rush the stage." or by the same artist,

"Fk me in the a$$, popular favorite."

Another one by a different artist:

"I'm a lonesome schoolboy....When will I get my co[k su[ked, when will I get my a$$ fked."

AWWWWWE. Nobody wants to come out and play with me. Bunch of lilly white pansys or retards, I do know which yet.

Welath and taste...if U don't know where that comes from U bin Dead for a long time.

NYC guys rushiing the stage. Thats Jim Morrison between songs on the Doors Live album.

"Fk Me...." is another Jim Morrisonism, this time from a NYC club jam with Jimi Hendrix. The album is, "I woke up this mornining and found myself dead."

"Lonesome Schoolboy" is from the infamous Rolling Stones single "Co[k Su[ker Blues"

I'm sooo happy,
more boring by the hour,
but they pay me...
Your time card says that your name's Joe,
but we'll call you 6-3-0..."

Jared at Pelican Parts 06-13-2006 02:40 PM

Forget the name of the song. I know it's the second track

edit, Days of swine and roses. brain damage

Jared at Pelican Parts 06-13-2006 02:43 PM

COme to think of it, I cant seem to remember what happened to all my Wax Trax stuff. Kind of pissed I lost it

cstreit 06-13-2006 05:52 PM

Bingo!

I'm in the same boat. Had a TON of old Wax Trax albums from a radio show in college. They got ripped off IN.THE.STATION.

I was pih-ISSED... (of course I don't own a turntable anymore so they'd be deadweight, but stilll...)

What once was innocent, turned on it's side.
A cloud hangs over me, marks my every move.
Deep in the memory, of what once was love."

Another one from an early 80s band that NEVER got the recognition they deserved! Often credited with the creating "shimmering" guitar sound so widely used by U2, Echo, etc.

"I delve into myself ceaselessly
But I rarely see
What I want to see
Embracing the future
Forgetting the past
Love lost and misfortune
The chaos and the crass"

I am so far from home
But I really don't miss my mother.
