Valentine 1 "pop" upgrade

Gents with V1, have any of you gotten the current upgrade to cover the 2 different kinds of "pop" radar? I think it depends on how old your V1 is, but for me it's $75 for the upgrade. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with a V1 after an upgrade.

I just got my V1 working again. Something in the cigarette lighter adapter shorted. I sent it in, they returned it, it was still shorting, and then they just sent a new adapter and that fixed things. I got a ticket after it quit working and before I sent it in. That was expensive procrastination. Damn

I've got mine out of the car, getting ready to box it up and send it in for the upgrade. More to keep it up to date than anything else. $75.00 for me as well.

I got hit by a Carolina state Trooper running POP radar. I wonder if I would have detected him with the upgrade?

He pointed to my V-1 and laughed and said I bet your fuzz buster went nuts for a second.

He called my V-1 a fuzz buster..... and he caught me.... dammit!!

I sent mine in for a similar problem and they said there was nothing wrong with it. Like your's, a new cord fixed it.

I bought it about 3 years ago and when they recently had it, they said it had all the updates.
