No charges for Rove
Special prosecuter will not charge Karl Rove
more details as they come. |
Rove Won't be Charged
In CIA Investigation Associated Press June 13, 2006 7:13 a.m. Top White House aide Karl Rove has been told by prosecutors he won't be charged with any crimes in the investigation into the leak of a CIA officer's identity, his lawyer said Tuesday. Attorney Robert Luskin said special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald informed him of the decision on Monday, ending months of speculation about the fate of one of President Bush's closest advisers. Mr. Rove testified five times before a grand jury. Mr. Fitzgerald has already secured a criminal indictment against Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter'' Libby. "On June 12, 2006, Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald formally advised us that he does not anticipate seeking charges against Karl Rove,'' Mr. Luskin said in a statement. Let's see, government investigates itself, and finds little or no wrongdoing.
I think we knew this was going to be the result. When Cheney gets indicted, I'll change my mind. |
A moment please for Tech and Thom and Rodeo, this will not be a good day for them and they may need us now more than ever.
Thank you. |

Last time she tried getting in there she kept bumping into Monica in the hallway. What the hey, maybe she is a cigar lover too:D |
Maybe we can restart that thread about who here will actually vote for Hillary. IIRC, it was something like one or two people at most. I still haven't met anyone who would vote for her and I work with a bunch of Dem. campaign operatives.
