Rant about my morning drive
The first 8 miles to work is great, all winding roads through a very hilly countryside. The last 5 miles is 4 lane divided highway with about 5 on/off ramps. Every day without fail I will be in the left lane passing a car in the right lane and the person will cut right in front of me because someone is coming down the entrance ramp. Not actually in the right lane yet, just on the entrance ramp. Why do these people think the correct thing to do is immediately pull into the left lane? I realize if the left lane is open then it is the courteous thing to do, but not if that lane is occupied!

Yes, I have seen this as well. I believe it is a result of poor driving skill and laziness.
Unfortunately, these people don't have a clue about when the other car is going to need to merge. The the person in the car that is merging usually doesn't know either. The driver in the right lane, rather than getting into a situation where he/she might have to turn off the cruise control and yield to the merging traffic, simply cuts you off to avoid the situation, problem solved for them, common explatives for you.
