Wife just came home with a $1,000 baby stroller

I just about flipped a lid, when she said, how much money did you put into your cars?

It is nice, but dam, I am going to have to get this thing detailed each week. It comes with its own maintenance kit, tire pump, and microfiber towels.

$1,000 just doesn't buy too much these days, does it?

btw, that's insane!

If my wife came home with a $1,000 stroller, she would be my ex-wife. do you know how many people you can feed with a grand?

when I was growing up, I never had a stroller, kids are so spoiled these days.

For that price, I hope it came with the kid to put in it.

Sorry, but thats absurd.

Off course the $2000 I spent on a clutch+1st/2nd syncros on my 911 is an 'investment'.

The main question is, did you know that she was preggy?

Yeah, it looks like it needs to be lowered a bit. And I can't believe that is a factory color.

Too funny.....we almost got one but then I said if the Old Graco was good for the first kid then it WILL be fine for the second. That was 10 months ago and my wife is still upset when she uses the old stroller.

It's only $$ and it makes her happy, don't sweat it.

First kid, eh?
  • First child: High-dollar stroller, a designer bassinet. Diaper Jeannie, heated wipes, and Osh-Kosh
  • Second child. Old grocery cart, an empty dresser drawer, grocery bags for the dirties, any-ol' cloth for a wipe, and what ever scraps of cloth are around.

...And may God bless my wife. As financially frugal as she is beautiful.

Take away her credit cards. She'll bankrupt you at that rate.

Exchange it for a $30 lightweight job. Put the rest of the $$ towards college savings.

I have 2 boys and have found that the super duper strollers are not worth the extra bulk and $$, just get a simple better quality folder that is small and easy to use.

Nope this is the second one, but she is acting like it is a first.

Sorry Guy's left the page up, and the wife jumped on the computer.

If my wife spent $1000 on a stroller I would spend much more than that on a divorce lawyer.

My wife bought one for our new baby and she was kinda miffed that the lady wanted $60.00. Yes, it was used but so what? It holds the two kids without them falling out. Of course, we had to buy a stupid minivan to carry the thing.

It's sick how much new parents spend on baby stuff. They are on the edge of the unknown and *suckers* for anything that's marekted as "the best" and/or "safest". Second+ time parents know better. Hell my wife spent $500 on crib bedding in 1997 for our first son. Imagine my horror when the matching comforter was never actually in the bed w/son due to potential suffocation... We sold it in a garage sale to a poor Mexican family for $50 including 3 bags of baby clothes (gap, gymboree, nordstrom)...don't get me started. That $1k is a drop in the bucket of madness.
