Domestic crisis- help?
The SO has one of these Alessi juicers, which I have to say is a natty bit of design, and which she loves. Its a highly polished alloy, I suspect aluminium.
Anyway, last night, for some reason, it went in the dishwasher, and now its farked. The highly polished suface is now a cloudy raw aluminium. Anyone got any suggestions to bring it back? Stuart |

What kind of dimwit designs a juicer that can't be put in the dishwasher?

try some "never-dull" on it, or a buffer wheel.
if it's only aluminum then a good polish should bring it back....dremel has some good attatchments if you have one. just rinse it thoroughly before using.

Nev-R-Dull, Brasso, or similar ought to bring out at least some semblance of shine. A soft buffing wheel is virtually guaranteed to do the trick, though you'd have to be careful not to get your hands in the wheel while holding that thing.
Alternately, you could try the Micro$oft routine: "It's better this way. Trust me." Dan

A bit of vaseline should do the trick. Just like on your Fuchs wheels.

Attach it to some kind of launcher and sell it Spidermans nemesis.

Those "juicers" should have been declared a crime against interior decor and banned back in the late '80ies when it was almost compulsory to have one. IMHFO.
Let it go and buy one of these (for $5 on ebay):

That is one scary looking utensil - could give a person nightmares. What happened to the old school juicers? Mine worked pretty well last time I checked.
