The Miami Heat beats the Dallas Mavericks 4 games to 2 and all I have to say is...
LAKERS, DROP DEAD!

In a way I am actually glad the mavs lost - Mark Cuban is a just such a putz - a rich putz, but a whiiny putz nonetheless. Ya the refs sucked in the series - big freak'n deal. They always suck, thats the game. The refs are part of it.
Not sure who has less class, him or the strange facelifted, cheat'n-on-his-wife fella that owns the Cowboys (Give it to Jimmy, give it ALL to Jimmy).

There's still an NBA?

Interesting series. I think before it started I predicted Heat in 7, but actually thought towards the end of game 5 that the Mavs would take it even if they lost game 5. That was before Howard's mental mistake of calling the time out though. As soon as he did that I turned to the g/f (who is a huge basketball fan) and said, "the series is over...Dallas will not come back."
In the end, injuries don't matter. Ref's calls don't matter. Luck doesn't matter. Mental mistakes do...every time. |

It's funny as hell that Dallas lost. After winning the first 2 games everyone here was talking about the victory parade. haha

+1 Shaq's heart is as big as he is. Good to see a good guy win. I was also happy to see Riley get another championship. I have always liked the GQ Basketball coach.

The buzz around this world cup thingy has totally stripped the NBA and NHL from any passing interest of non-sports fans and the media. Aren't basketball and hockey winter sports? Man, it is June. The seasons are too long and the players too burnt out.

When Dork lost his temper on the lifecycle after game 5 and when manboy cuban went tempertantrum on the reporters they had lost before they even played the 6th game. Said, Avery is a great coach and the team had a good spirit - just not ready for the primetime of a championship ring.

Glad Shaq won another, however I am still a LAKERS FAN for life and would love to see them win again. The Heat however don't have a young team really besides Wade so I really wonder about a repeat title. Let's see what Shaq has to say during the Miami parade.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Cuban got his wardrobe at Jack Black's yard sale?
Contrast his outfits with Riley's and you wonder who's the billionaire.

Cuban is about as vacuous as they come. Rich-boy owner who throws his anger out just like he were three years old and lost his pee-wee baseball game.
I still say the biggest losers are the Lakers, and not necessarily Kobe, but Jackson who's just spineless.
