But I get to go to free IMAX screenings!

Just saw "Fighter pilot" this morning, if you haven't seen it and dig airplanes it is a must see.

128 planes in the air all at once in simulated battle, how would you like to be the air controller on that day.

"Speedway" with Mario and Michael Andretti was very cool too, and LOUD!

I saw that one at the National Air & Space Museum Annex when I was up in DC a couple months ago. It was a fun flick!

Ditto that; great film and there was actually a "Making Of" documentary as well. It might have been Modern Marvels - Imax?

I have Speedway on DVD but didnt' get to see it on the mega screen.

I will have to keep my eyes open for that documentary...

Speedway was way loud in the theater... and I like stuff loud... We're talking home theater with 125 watts times 5 with a 250 watt subwoffer loud...
We're talking my old stereo was a 185 watt Maranz with a pair of Altec Lansing Voice of the theater loud.

I looked at the IMAX in Irvine and nothing is listed. Where did you see it at?

I saw it at the Smithsonian annex (near Dulles) as well. Not sure if it is playing in SoCal.
