Has anyone posted a non-Porsche for sale on the Cars for Sale board?

Just curious because I am going to be selling my Bugeye Sprite and know a number of Pelican heads are interested in cars other than Porsche. Ok or not?

Kurt,

Are you on the Yahoo Bugeye group? Might post it there as well.

Kurt, if you want I could post it there or you can just join and do it. Was not sure if you were a member or knew of the group.

Coming to your neck of the woods shortly! Going to Springfield for the weekend so will wave to the North for you!

Joe

Good question. I need to sell my pickup, and have not posted here since there is not a "other cars for sale" area.

And the answer is..... [?]

Any consideration of adding a second "Other Cars for Sale by PelicanHeads". Knowing that most everyone here takes care of their cars, I would feel comfortable buy a non-Porsche from these guys.

I would do one of the following:

1) PM the moderator and ask him.
2) Just post it in off topic and avoid the hassle.

Good luck with the sale. A bugeye sprite would be fun, but I have no room.

Noah is the moderator and he already answered the question.

See, when you don't read the rest of the posts carefully before you post, then you look like an idiot.

If allowed I have a nice 71 BMW 2800 CS. But otherwise will let it go locally.

What's a bugeye go for these days?

A rusted out POS will run you around $1000. One fully restored can run up to around $18,000. Which is what makes them so appealing to restore. It is one of the few collectible cars that you can restore and still be able to sell for what you have in it. Mine is a good 15 foot car, but needs finished off.

Noah, you don't need any further explanations. Your reasoning is quite valid. I agree with you. The cars for sale board would be virtually overrun with cars most of us have zero interest in.
