I hadn't done a proper cleaning for two range trips with both guns, and last weekend took the p225 by itself and ran about 250 rounds through it. So they were due. Have to go get them dirty again tomorrow. And it seems that my bulk ammo place is no more, so maybe some Canned Heat from Georgia Arms. I think I'm down to about 1200 rounds in the closet.

I've got a p226 myself. Keep it clean, having a trustworthy firearm is a necessity in SoCal.

Nice Sig Todd! I considered a P220 and one of the Kimbers recently but went with a BCP custom 1911 instead.
I'm currently 2 days into my 6 day waiting period for it. In the safe I've got 250 rounds of Winchester .45 ACP waiting for the initial break-in. I'll post a range report hopefully by next Friday night!

The Trader Joe's bag is a sure sign of my impending rampage.
The Sigs are great even dirty...hell and back reliability is the truth as far as I can tell. I had to hunt for the p225. It is a single stack 9mm that is no longer made, and I managed to find a NIB one awhile back. The trigger is not as smooth as my p226, but a little exercise will fix that. At some point when my financial situation calms a bit I'm going to get either a p220 or a GSR (1911). Still pondering the whole DAK trigger thing. I been thinking about the DA/SA v. single trigger pull and I can see the advantage to having a long/heavy first pull if things were in *****-hit-fan mode. And also the advantage of being able to quickly tap after the first one. But here's hoping I never see that... |

This is also a good time to sharpen all the knives in the house. I usually do both at once since my hands are all oily...

I haven't fired my Sig P239 or my Beretta 92FS since March. Nice weather is something I don't like to waste, so I'm outdoors as much as possible in the spring/summer/fall. Shooting weather (indoor range) will start in November for me, maybe October...

LOL I just cleaned my goose gun last week. It's got an 18" barrel, pistol grip, and 7 round capacity. I swear you gotta sneak up real close to them gooses
