That would be about $1.5 million in my neighborhood.

Beautiful home! My wife has always wanted to live in a big brick home.
How close is the nearest surfing and snow skiing?

Yea sure it's nice, but where is the smog? The gang violence? The anal rape of multiple taxation? Oh and the ocean.

Very nice, love brick homes like that with the big porch. Too far from the ocean and the mountains for me though

I think it's a dilapidated farm-house Terry. In my area of CT, that's 600-700+K. Shoreline CT is a bit of a mix-a-match too, we have trailers next to plantation style homes within view of the CT river. The thing is even the trailers sell for 300K!

Nice place. We occasionally have individuals from our company coming out from Cali to Eastern North Carolina for various things, meetings, contract issues, site visits etc. and their jaws drop when they come to my house for dinner and I tell them what I paid for it. 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, 2 1/2 car garage, acre lot all for 75.5K. The funny thing is these individuals doing the same job as me in California are being paid the same as me in Eastern North Carolina. I was offered a transfer out there but they were not willing to give me a raise. I am perfectly comfortable in my little kingdom right here.

Terry, that is actually the old Lohman Mill built in 1906. The mill owner built and lived in my house (built in 1908) The mill is restored and we just had the centennial celebration last weekend. Over 1000 people came to town for the activities and fireworks.

Kurt,

Was just in the Ozarks, going to my HS reunion this past weekend. Could sell my place here, buy a larger place like it back there and still have almost a half a mil in hand cash.

Nice areas back in the mid-west. If I ever leave the desert thats where I will head...
