Rodeo on the Board is Great!

So I was in Providence, R.I. for one of our features "Underdog" and I met with Rodeo from the board. Steve is the nicest guy, nice wife and two kids as well. Treated me to an excellent dinner and he even let me drive his 2004 Lotus if you can believe that. Thanks Steve, hope I can return the favor some day in Los Angeles

One of the best people I have EVER met; I cannot wait to get back to R.I. and see that family. Salt of the earth.

Denis:

Steve asked me if I knew you. Under duress I said yes. He said he'd met you in Providence once. Great guy huh? I love his 1897 (I think he said) house.

Truth be told [gasp]I'm sure Rodeo and I would get along great in person. Unless of course he's actually that neurotic

Are his kids rocking back and forth in the corner, muttering to themselves like their father yet?...Did they by chance whisper something about saving them?

Totally uncalled for. A complete gentlman, we didn't discuss politics and an all around very nice guy.

Hugh, it's nice you can travel out and meet fellow Pelicans and put a face to the name/avatar. We're all good people despite political, moral, ethical and religious issues. Those, at least, can be left in cyberspace...

Hey Rodeo
There are 3 cars I keep seeing around the city...and wonder if any of em are yours...a Silver 3.2 coupe, a white 911SC targa, and a red -burgundyish- 911SC targa. All on the east side.

Nope, I'm a black 89 Carrera that can be found in the jewelry district most days

A black 89 Carrera that came to me courtesy of this board, btw.

Someone posted a craigslist ad here out of the goodness of their heart, Speeder and another Pelican immediately responded to my request that someone in LA take a look at the car (my idea of the perfect model and year Porsche), and offered really good suggestions for a PPI. Speeder then actually took delivery of the car for me, kept it for a month, fixed a bunch of stuff himself, had Al Reed do the wheels, found a shop to install a killer suspension, and a hundred more things I can't remember at the moment. I could NEVER have gotten that car without him, and he didn't know me from Adam at the time!

Like I said, quality people here!

Hard to believe that a darned liberal could be a pleasant fellow. That's a stretch.
