What kind of ASSCLOWN cop would charge someone with a "OVI" for walking a bike across their own front lawn?
The same kind that enters onto his private property to roust him for "Not having a headlight on your bike." Just more of the same...at least they didn't send in a SWAT team to "take him down." Last edited by m21sniper; 12-21-2006 at 09:06 AM.. |

He would have had my sympathy on the bicycle thing, until he started trying to excuse drunk driving as a whole, including driving a car. This guy missed his opportunity for sympathy. F him.

§ 4511.52 of the revised code states that the regulations apply to bicycles only "whenever a bicycle is operated upon any highway or upon any path set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles."
Walking his bicycle on private property, with or without a light and even if he was more fuct up than a train wreck... he broke no law. I rather suspect that the video is just an propaganda piece that was produced simply so that he could get his message out that drunk driving is not such a big deal. He hooks you with the absurd "bicycle law" and then moves the discussion to a different law entirely so that you draw the conclusion that it, too, is absurd.

I have no idea if his statistics are valid or not, but the bicycle thing sure got my attention.
Glad to hear they've 'fixed' the law. |
