Do you have children ? How many ?

We have had several threads on members ocupation, age etc.

I would like to know if Pelicans are a fertile breed.

slodave 07-18-2006 02:10 PM

Do birds count? They act like two year olds.

livi 07-18-2006 02:12 PM

Only if you are their biological father. :D

masraum 07-18-2006 02:14 PM

Well, I have 2, but not biologically. I'm paying for 2, how's that.

Scratch my vote for one...I adopted my daughter.

We have one. We were in Japan and my wife said, "Oh *****, I forgot to bring my pills." After a week I couldn't take it anymore and said, "Hell, might as well start trying to have kids anyway." We have so many friends that are struggling to get pregnant that I figured we'd be safe for a few months. And one of my teachers in Japan has such a charming little daughter that I figured not all kids are evil, so why not give it a go?

Truth to tell, I shot my wife down with the first salvo...we got back to the USA a few weeks later and she was already barfing from morning sickness.

But we've only got our son...maybe we'll "try" for another in a few years.

I wouldn't take a million for either. But then again, I wouldn't give you a knickle for another...

Flatbutt1 07-18-2006 03:50 PM

A son 24 and daughter 22. Best parts of my life.

slodave 07-18-2006 03:56 PM

Ack I'm the minority. I don't have any children. I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid....

Jays72T 07-18-2006 04:05 PM

4 year old girl and 1 year old boy.

widebody911 07-18-2006 04:08 PM

I don't have any that someone would admit to. I'm sure if I ran for office or won the lottery, I'd find a few. Someone said 'sow your wild oats' and I went a little overboard...

I have a 7 yr. old daughter. The wife and I tried for a second but had complications and decided we would quit while we were ahead. I have no regrets. We were blessed with this one. :D

Two boys 21 and 25..................damn I'm getting old!!!

legion 07-18-2006 05:09 PM

I'm only 27. No kids yet.

Porsche-O-Phile 07-18-2006 05:09 PM

Nope. Free and clear here. None that I know about anyway. . . ;)

Does "paying for everyone else's kids at the mandate of the government" count for anything?

No kids, no mortgage, no minivan, no spitup to clean up, no diapers to change and (perhaps best of all) no having to give the "birds and the bees" talk. Alternatively I have three P-cars, a fun job, one motorcycle, one wonderful wife of nine years (tomorrow), finally some money in the bank and two cats that amuse the heck out of me.

That's good enough by me. :)

Jeff,

Can you honestly go one thread without *****ting on the concept of having kids? It's not for everyone, but you have certainly made the point it's not for you. Ad nauseum.

I love listening to the traffic reports on Portland radio as I watch Gary Hull (neighbor) towing similar machinery down our road with a tractor painted the same bielstein (sp?) shocks green color. ;) Whoops! I just gave a concours secret away...John Deer Green is an exact color match to....
