How do I inflate a tubeless lawn tire.

My compressor is a cheepo and I can't get this tubeless tire inflated?? Any trick here?

Or am I gonna have to go down to a tire shop?

Note: the tire has no holes or puncutres

Flip the wheel barrow upside down so no weight on tire. Hook it up and get the bead close to where it needs to be on the rim, you can sort of work it around and it should get close enought to catch and fill, I always can do it with a manual pump.

To add to Tobra's advice:

Tie a slip knot in a rope. Put the rope around the center of the tread. With the compressor running tighten the rope compressing the tire. This will help push the bead out onto the rim.

There is supposidly a way to set the bead by using lighter fluid. I just dont have the guts to try.

Try lubing up the beads as well this will help them set easier.

I have seen people do this before. I dont reccommend it.

Well I want to thank you gentlemen anyway, I've just ended 5-6-or more?? hours of frustration with that tire. My tail hurts (took a spill sitting down over that thing, mosquitos, and my hands ache some)

No go. Messes up the weekend too, as now the grass sits until I can get it to the tire shop. (Just like a number of years ago when the only fix was at a tire shop.) I even tired a diff. compressor. And get this, one of the company men who produce the YardMachine even came by and couldn't help.

This is a riding mower, the tires are larger on the rear, and it's one of those. But I've had the mower for about 5 years, and other that the drive belt, it's been great....(except for the tires).

1. Make sure compressor is pumped up fully.
2. Remove inner stem from schrader valve.
3. Wrap a tie-down around the tire and crank it down until the tire has lot of pressure all around the bead.
4. Fill tire rapidly until the bead seats.
5. After the bead is set, let out enough air until you can insert the stem back into the valve. Remove tie-down.
6. Fill up tire.

Take the wheel+tire to a gas station that has a beefy compressor would be my advice.

Remove valve core, lay the rim/wheel on its side in an open area outside. If you have it use starting fluid and spray SMALL amount inside of tire and continue to spray a line outside and about 5 feet away. Put can down, light end of line with match, stand back.

When the explosion seats the tire the fire will automaticvaly go out and the excess pressure will escape through the valve stem. Calmly go over and replace the valve core. Viola!

Yes, I had that in mind originally, however here, all the tire shops are closed on the weekend after 2:00 PM Saturday. So unfortunately, the tire goes to the tire shop tomorrow Monday. I think my compressor is just to weak.

Well took the tire to the tire shop today, it took just minutes to fill.
In regards to my method the guy says. "pretty tough" (to fill). So I think I'll have to look at upgrading to a better compressor.

Still the best way to do it if you don't have a big enough compressor.
