King of the Mountain with Harry Hamlin and Dennis Hopper. Good movie about racing on Mulholland. Harry drives a kit-car widebody 356. Unfortunately, it's not for sale anywhere.

In 'Spy Game' Robert Redford relies upon his Porsche 912 coupe. Gavin Joule reports: "Hi Rick, My car was used for the movie 'Spy Game' starring Robert Redford (he drives) and Brad Pitt...... My car is easy to spot, here's some pointers if you're freeze framing. 1. Alarm detectors on inner door/window post (top apex of quarter window). 2. Hella (yellow) fogs. 3. Lowered suspension. 4. Polished Fuchs. 5. Passenger headrest lower than drivers. 6. Hella H4 (modern) headlamps. I know for sure 'Bob' and Brad drove my car, and Brad even took Jenny around the lot!" ( check out the cars in Chapters 4 and 18 on the DVD ). Like racecar teams, film crews sometimes have multiple cars, and Kurt Mickelwait also reports his '69 912 "was one of the 912s used in the Movie "Spy Game". I use it as a Drivers Ed car and also run in time trials (first in class GT6 Potomac 2001). 1969 Irish Green webers 1720 much done to motor, suspension and brakes." Also see this from the 912 Register. SmileWavy |

Maybe someone can jump in here (movie buff).
there was an 80s movie with a cop turned bank robber. it was set in australia or south africa. anyway after they "made some money" they bought a yellow Targa from the dealer. I cracked up because there were actually 2 passengers in the jump seats! adults to boot! I cannot imagine 4 adults in a Porsche! |

How about Bad Boys - can't miss the black turbo in this one!

Stink'in Cock Roach

Scarface, In the scene parked in a Porsche dealer's lot. Great to see some 80's vintage film with brand new 911 inventory sitting in the background.

The Last Chase is notable for the appearance of Vasek Polak's 917/10 ... raised to paris/Dakar ride heights to be able to negotiate all of the street scenes!
Good Guys Wear Black had Chuck Norris [too briefly] driving a white or gray '74 RSR on the track and a black, street-registered '73 RSR-look [BB II without graphics] ... |

I bet some of those old Elvis racing movies might have Porsches in them but whose got the time (and inclination) to watch them?;)

There are several porsche cameos in the 70's television shows like wonder woman, etc.
It would make a great DVD to splice all these scenes together. |

sad to know - Bruce Willis in "The Kid" 911 Cab

Here are 2 more. The Rockford Files. He caught a movie or music producer for murder. He drove a 928. The other one is a movie with Morgan Freeman who plays a cop or private eye I really don't remember. Any way he was driving a 911 SC. By the way he did it.
