Depending on what you are insuring, having a local agent to speak with can be a really big help, especially if you are insuring a collectable with agreed/stated value policy, etc. If it is a new car, then just about anyplace would probably be OK...

That insurance company you have a link to sucks. They overcharge and do not cover anything.

Try these guys for your collectable.

yeah you got a point there, but finding an insurance to an agent is quite slow, i need my insurance and i think looking for quotes online would be more faster.,the site has known companies and i was able to compare prices.

thanks for the sugestion:)

Assuming this means that going through a local agent is quite slow, I would have to disagree. When I insured my 911, I picked up the phone and called the local agent. She had me email her some photos for the file (agreed value policy) and then she faxed me over the proof of insurance. In all, it was quick and hassel free.

Your site, Paylite/Netquote, does not seem to actually be an insurance company at all. It looks to be nothing more than a referral service. Such services usually get referral fees (kickbacks) from the underwriting company. This usually translates to a higher cost to the consumer than if you just called your local representative personally.

In the long run, you will waste much more time clicking around and waiting on referral quotes through them.

I would not do business with such a company, nor would I encourage you or anyone else to.

EDIT:
Just as a follow up, I went ahead and entered information into the system to compare my current insurance cost....

My applicant ID is 0000000x <- x is a number less than 10. As in meaning that less than 10 people have used this "service".

The system does not provice quotes on pre-1981 automobiles.
