Do prisons have manicurists?
It occurred to me, buying a set of nail clippers this morning, that these could be dangerous in the hands of a prisoner (think "Escape from Alcatraz", if nothing else).
Then again, long, talon-like nails could be very dangerous as well (think "Oz"). So, do prisoners get their nails trimmed by guards, or by hygiene folk/nurses or what? I mean real "Pound-you-in-the-a$$" prisoners that can't be trusted with stuff; not the Club Fed, french manicure prisoners. Just curious, on a slow Wednesday. JP |
You have to buy nail clippers?
I thought they just appeared in every junk drawer in every house I've ever lived in.. |
It would have to be a controlled environment. I have a picture at home from a CHP gun lockup at the training facility in Sacramento, CA where they have thousands of created weapons from prisons in California. It is absolutely amazing the ingenuity that some have while locked up, if only it could be channeled to something good (not Demolition Man style though).

Sorry. Do you want the one's with the boken file part too?

I can also imagine a terrorist boarding an airplane with 10 razor-sharp nails a la Freddy hidden in a pair of gloves. Oh, the horror.

Too late. Already boxed and sent. You'll figure out which ones.
Or will you....... ;) |
evidently another long day of nail clipper tasting awaits.
well this is at least better than when you sent the used latex gloves. |
I try...

Pssst...
Do you think we've effectively sidetracked the discussion of sweaty inmates with long fingernails? ;) :D |

STOP THAT!
Right. Off you go then... |
that oil will come in handy...don't burn it all in one place.
