Bring Back Ostracism

In the Greek system of Democracy, regular elections were held to vote politicians out of office. This was called ostracism. The idea was to prevent people from becoming career politicians.

Wouldn't work in our culture of criticism of those in power by people who know nothing and have no solutions of their own.

In our system, to put a guy out of office, you have to convince the people you would do the job at least as well as the other guy. A low bar, to be sure, but higher than 99.9% of loudmouth thumbs-downers.
