Check out the welds!!!

I traded some services for a turbo manifold adapter for my m30. Unfortunately the guy couldn't come thru on the m30 version so he sent me a m20. I figured I ould mod it ot fit the m30 but after seeing the work involved it would be easier to start from stratch.

This thing is a piece of art though. I have NEVER seen welds this clean.

Very nice TIG work!

The guy makes decent stuff. We have one of his intercoolers that Souk is going to play around with. :)

How is the swap coming along? Any pictures of the paint job?

Pics will be up this weeked. I chickened out on the sand color. I sprayed it on a spare fender and couldn't visualize it on the car. So I went with a matte black and tank gray.

As far as the swap goes, Still waiting for my clutch, pressure plate, and I need to order the mother board for the MS-II.

Hopefully its up and running by the end of the year.

Obviously someone's done their homework. Must have read Richard Finch's book! Down here, there are some guys that take so much pride in their work they'll even attempt clean fillets on oilfield work...now THAT's dedication!

Pretty good. Looks like welds I see on fancy bikes.

I have Finch's book, however his opinion on welding 4130 thin walled tubing is not correct IMHO. He makes the claim that all 4130 tube structures should be welded with 4130 filler rod. This is fine if the entire structure is then going to be heat treated, but most of the high end aerobatic fuselage builders use ER80 filler rod (same goes for the Lincoln Welder weld shop set up at Indy each year during the month of May).
