Hot today in the Northeast.

Come on, boys! The way you're lollygaggin' around here with them picks and them shovels, you'd think it was a hundert an' twenty degree. Can't be more than a hundert an' four!

bunch of freeking SISSY-BOYS! it was 120 freeking degrees here and 125 in DEATH VALLEY a week ago. anything below 110 degrees and we are HAPPY! remember FAA rules disallow any flights after 122 degrees! and yes i have seen 124 degrees myself! keys to heat survival:

1) BEER

2)BEER

3)POOL

4)GIRLS IN FLOSS

5)LITE FOOD GROUPS............ ie. LITE
BEER!

6) WORK ONLY AFTER 10PM it will only be 100 degrees out!

7) EVERY COMPONENT REPLACED AND FRESH R-12 IN DER PORSCHEN

8) DRIVE DER PORSCHEN ONLY AT 6AM to get items 1-2-4-5

9)TRY NOT TO THINK AT ALL

10) CONSIDER WATER LOSS FROM PERSPERATION AS A DIET!

after 48 years here we have this down to a SCIENCE!

will work for gas to get out of heat! thats why we traditionally leave on vacation right before july 4th. the dry heat turns to a dew point of 70degrees and ambient temps 100++++++++++. the reason why i stay here................BECAUSE OF ALL THE MOMMIES IN THE GROCERY STORE WEARING NEXT TO NOTHING! brings new meaning and immense enjoyment to the term..........RIPE CANTALOUPES!

NYC is the land of 70+ degree dewpoints. On some days, walking to the subway is more like swimming to a raft.

I know Florida is bad, but those guys down there are set up for the heat with super A/Cs every where you go.

No complaints here.
More heat means more women with less clothes!

Although sitting on the Belt Parkway in traffic yesterday did suck.

Actually, last night, we only had the fans running in the bedroom. Slept through the night. The stupid window-unit AC makes a miserable noise that keeps us awake most of the night.

That said, I think I'll run the AC tonight and wear ear plugs. So what if I don't hear the alarm. Work? What's that?!?

Believe me I'd kill to be out on the boat now!
Unfortunately duty calls! Because of this so called excessive heat ,our local electric company, Con Ed, has requried us to run all our buildings on back up generator to take some load off the local grid. Weve been having some major power trouble in NYC lately. I'm one of the people in charge of this crap so I'm stuck here!

I'd rather be you.
I "enjoy" two Central AC systems and a wife who's home all day and thinks electricty is free... No wonder I drink so much.

Man, I hope mine's close to that. I'm in the process of swapping out an electric dryer for gas. That's the other appliance that runs continuously for free.

Rick - I think a few have been grandfathered here in the People's Republic of Bloombergistan. We need a metro area meeting to complain about the weather and soak of some of Ron's reflected understanding of the human condition and meaning of life.Stay cool. Bill
