F1 Hungarian GP
Normaly this circuit provides really really dull races but not today, I love F1 in the wet! Great race and superb result, if you haven't been watching try and catch a replay.
|
Hehe, you too, eh? :D
|
Agreed ... this has to go down as one of the best F1 races in a loooooooooooooong time !
|
Great action!! F1 should manufacture rain at all their venues :)
Jensen finally for a win!! Good for him. |
yes good for jensen.....after his first podium in '04 it's taken him some time to finally get his phone call from the queen for his victory.....well done lad.
the wet always makes F1 interesting, let's see how jensen does in istanbul....momentum does wonders for a driver :) |
Missed the race but satisfied to learn Shumie did not score any points. ;)
|
DAMN!!
Forgot to set the DVR.
 |
austin......check the schedule, they usually replay it in the evening.....i'd check it for you but i'm outside laying carpet in my targa :D
|
You spoke too soon about MS. Turns out that Kubica was underweight (tires wore too much) and dq'd. Massa moves up to 7th, and MS moves up to 8th. MS now 10 points behind FA, and Ferrari is 7 points behind Renault.
If MS had given up 3rd to Heidfeld he likely would have finished the race in 4th and only would be 6 points back. But giving up race position didn't get him 7 world titles... |
I wonder if Senior Alonso is starting to feel just a little bit of panic with the former champ breathing down his neck. Should hopefully be a bit of a thrill the remaining five races.
|
schuey is deffinately in alonsos head, it's been showing the last couple of races.
at those speeds and the intesity of concentration needed makes half of being in the front a mental game :) |
best race in awhile. maybe fia should install sprinklers on the tracks
|
Random sprinklers!
Anyway Alonso has lost it - like Samson he shaved.... |
Why didn't shumie come in for dry tires? He could have gotten a few more places... or was his steering already horked so he didn't want to risk pitting in?
B |
He would have lost 3-5 places coming in.
He would have lost 1-2 places staying out. He lost his sterring somewhere on track and had to retire. Mechanical failure. Awesome race lots of action everywhere. |
He lost his steering trying to block Nick. They made contact, that's when Mikey went off course.
After that it was only a matter of time. Hindsight says he shoulda let him by, but I wouldn't have in the same situation. It's gonna be an interesting rest of the season, which is zackly what F1 wanted. Wonder how much of this is scripted, or at least influenced by outside sources. |
WWF1?
How would you like to be the Renault wheel guy? Then again, everyone is umemployed at some point in their career :p |
As it turns out, Renault is saying the Alonso DNF is a result of a driveshaft failure not the wheel nut. And now MS got bumped one place to gain a point. It may be an exciting rest of the season.
Man, I wish Kimi could catch a break. I can't see him going to Ferrari if MS is there. They are too headstrong to be teammates, don't you think? |
Best F1 race I've seen this season. Heck of a fun watch.
|
Best part was early in the race when Alonso passed MS around the outside in a corner - in the wet.
I knew when I saw that it was going to be one to stay up and watch! When are F1 going to realise that lots of passing and big differences between the cars (some fast down straight, some fast through corners - like we saw in this race) is what makes it exciting. When they are all regulated to perform almost the same it gets about as exciting as watching paint dry! Tim |
