freestyle MX, getting really dangerous and amazing.

This "sport" just doesn't know when to quit. These kids aren't on 20lb BMX bikes, these are 250Lb beasts. Pastrana is a freak.

Oh and he won the gold in the Rally racing (new this year).

Here you go, double backflip

Someone will die soon.

Even BMX is getting silly. Did you see the 90ft tall ramp with jump into the 1/2 pipe?

MichiganMat 08-06-2006 08:21 AM

The BMX Park event was rediculous. That roll-in to jump was just unreal, and to see guys doing tail-whips over that... OMG. One of the guys, I think he took 2nd, did a pretty insane transistion over a 30ft gap too, totally insane.

Nyquist needs to retire, these new guys are way out of his league.

awesome.

travis built himself a foam pit so he could try very difficult tricks with some bit of safety at his parents home, but doing it onto dirt takes away the net so kuddos to him :)
i haven't seen the bmx park yet but saw the tranfer in the highlights, crazy stuff.......i love big tranfers :D

the 90ft ramp is crazy too......the bmx showing of it is pay-per-view, so someone tape it and mail me a copy :D

and as far as Nyquist, he will ride until he cannot, hell dennis mccoy is still riding.........

for those of us whom were riding when bmx wasn't considered anything, and the only vids we could watch were "101 tricks", then plywwod hoods came out and things started to progress ........now here we are, 20 years later and feeling old watching these younger guys dominate :D

C'mon, lets not forget the skateboarders. Bombdropping 82' feet off of the Hardrock guitar, bomb dropping out of a helicopter, getting and frontside 360 over the Great Wall of China buy Danny Way. All of this done with gravity, a 32" piece of plywood with sand paper and four little rubber (ok urithane) wheels.

China: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxwCJiRpz_g

Hardrock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUlgjBYr__A

Helicopter: Still trying to find it

Silly Huge back flip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh1LoXQi5Ec

How do you think I feel, I started riding in the 70s and still play with BMX bikes:D I want a copy of the 90' foot jump too!! Every one thought I was crazy when I rode skate parks in the late 70s & early 80s
